Talk about blog neglect!

Well...Mike's leave is now officially over. We had lots of fun. But now it's time to get back to reality...

Little Miss Aubrey is going to be here very, very soon! 4 more weeks until my due date! Can you believe it? We were very fortunate to have the crib, rocking chair/glider, car seat, and stroller bought for us by Mike's family. There's no way we could have done it without them! i finally started doing some of Aubrey's laundry... but like most of my projects, i start them but never get around to finishing them, haha.

Speaking of projects...this is one that can really be pushed aside. MEAL PLANNNG. The husband and i have decided that we really need to crack down on our budgeting and food is a huge part of it. i've been mainly looking to the Hillbilly Housewife for help but am open to any other suggestions.

Wow.. i am horrible at updating this! But i really want to get better at it because i think it will help put more rhythm in my life! Well so much has happened since my last post!

Mike returned from Afghanistan! i love having my husband home! i don't know how i managed without him.

My amazing husband's 21st birthday was on the 27th of May. We had a couple of his friends from work come over for a luau bbq on the 29th we had a lot of fun! i even got mike to wear a grass skirt and coconut bikini top! i won't post that picture to spare him the embarrassment! i got him a hunting bow, a ruck sack, and some clothes. He shoots his bow almost every day, i was worried that it was going to be a cool present just something he rarely got to use. Luckily there is an archery range on post.

We've decided to continue this crazy army life for at least a couple more years! Mike reenlisted on the 10th of June for 3 more years. But the real exciting part is he reclassed to a 19D-Cavalry Scout. i think he will be much happier with his new job. He'll get to do what he loves every single day.

We haven't been doing much but hanging out at home since he's been back because his family will be here on the 22nd until the 29th. His grandpa, grandma, mom, step dad, little brother and sister will be visiting. This is going to be our first time meeting each other. i'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Well i think that's about all that's been going on around here lately. Now we just sit and wait for little miss Aubrey Grace to make her appearance!

I never realized until tonight how much I take my wonderful husband for granted. He is an amazing, patient, loving man. I am so blessed to have him in my life. I honestly can say I don't know what I would do without him. He does everything I ask of him. Well except clean the basement but that's okay :) I'm very fortunate to have him as the father of my child. He is going to be a great father. I can't wait to have him home. I love you, Mike!

You know it's spring in Alaska when the ice cream trucks starts making its rounds :)
